So it’s been a solid month or so now and The Big Trip is well underway for GardenofBeeden.
24 December 2017:
After blowing up the vacuum cleaner 20min before the taxi arrived to take us to the airport, Ally was looking a lot like this:
And when we got to the airport and the flight was delayed 3hours, Ally had a complete sense of humour failure and looked more like this:
Recovery did eventually occur and before too long the holiday vibe was restored as our flight to Sydney landed safely on Christmas Eve evening.

A week of cruising in Sydney – first at brother Don’s in Walsh’s Bay:
A cloudy Christmas Day – brunch overlooking the harbour,
and in a festive garden with Kate, PJ, Coco, Bebe and extended family / friends for an evening feast.
A few days in Newport way staying with Lesley (Roger’s Mum’s friend from college) and the impressively loud cicadas overlooking beautiful Pittwater. Meeting up with old friends (Alf & family + Jan & Roger) and making new (Zac & Alana) on sunny Sydney summer beaches.
